Eric Mittelsteadt:

Eric has extensive experience.  He has managed the Bike Doctor, provided wax service regularly at events, been a genuine resource for area coaches and program directors through his willingness to share knowledge and time, and received extensive training regarding Toko both in the US and in Switzerland .

Ben Lund:

Hometown:  Wales, WI (MIDWEST)

On TTT Since:  2002

Ben has been skiing his entire life (since age 4).  He spent his senior year of high school skiing in Soderhamn, Sweden.  He raced NCAA for Michigan Tech.  He now helps coach the local masters program as well as local weekend clinics and weekly wax clinics throughout the season.

Mike Lundeen:

Hometown:  Frederic, WI (MIDWEST)

Mike is all over the Midwest!  He knows his stuff inside and out.  If you are fortunate enough to be at one of his many clinics, listen up as he is full of great information!  He can generally be found at events throughout the Midwest.

Mike Young:

Hometown: Hancock, MI (MIDWEST)

Mike started skiing as a way for him and his family to stay active during the long winters in Michigan's UP.  Since then, he has become increasingly involved in skiing through the local Copper Country Ski Tigers club teaching lessons, coaching the junior racing team and serving on its board of directors.  He is also currently one of the USSA Great Lakes District coaches and a board member of CXC Skiing.  Mike loves to telemark ski and can usually be found on High Rustler at Alta on "last day"

Nickola Baic:

Hometown: Boyne City, MI (MIDWEST)

On TTT since: 2007

Nick started skiing at the age of 5 while in Traverse City.  Since then, he has raced as a junior skier for Central, as a collegiate skier for Michigan Tech, and as a citizen skier.  He has been head coach for the USSA Great Lakes District since 1989.  He also coaches high school soccer for Boyne City.

Andrew Chaffe:

Hometown: Alexandria, Australia.  Currently living in Minneapolis, MN (MIDWEST)

On TTT Since:  2004

Andrew has been skiing for many years and is super knowledgeable on waxing in a very wide range of conditions.  He has competed internationally in Biathlon for years and plans on competing in Europe again this year for several weeks (as part of the Australian Biathlon Team since 1994).  Andrew has helped Toko for years at events such as the American Birkiebeiner.  Look for Andrew at many Midwest events and Clinics!

Jayme Schricker:

Hometown: Prior Lake, MN (MIDWEST)

Other Sports: Running, inline skating, snowboarding, tennis, volleyball, bocce ball, poker

Jayme started skiing because of her older brother.  "When I saw him get new skis, I said, 'Mom, I want to ski too!"'  Since 6th grade skiing came natural to Jayme and earned her a scholarship to Northern Michigan University.  Under the guidance of Sten Fjeldheim, Jayme learned the discipline it took to eventually rank 9th in the  US.  Since "retiring" Jayme continues as a high school coach, volunteer at Visitation School in Mendota Heights, and stays active in the citizen scene where training and racing are now more of a social event for her.

 

Jerry Slater:

Hometown: Mendota Heights, MN  (MIDWEST)

Other Sports: Canoeing, Fishing , Running

Jerry started skiing in 1978 as a way to escape the boredom of law school.  When Jerry and his wife, Kathlyn, started a family in 1988 Jerry’s sports participation shifted to coaching.  He started a Nordic Combined team at the St. Paul ski club.  For several years he was the chairman of Nordic Combined skiing in the USSA Central Division.  Jerry remains on the board of directors of the St. Paul Educational Foundation, the parent organization of the St. Paul Ski Club.  Jerry loves to work with young athletes and during the summer and fall he is involved in coaching youth baseball and football.

 

Doug Bernard:

Hometown:  Ketchum, Id  Currently living in Park City, UT (ROCKIES)

On TTT Since: 2002

Doug has been skiing his whole life and is very knowledgeable.  Currently he services the Park City area.  Doug finished a stint in Afghanistan with the special forces in November of 2002.

Doug is currently overseas serving our country

Ray Dickerson:

Hometown:  Boulder , CO (ROCKIES)

On TTT Since: 1999

An accomplished and experienced skier having completed 20+ American Birkebeiners.  Ray has worked regionally for Salomon.  Ray has extensive expertise in the challenges of waxing for Colorado ’s high altitude snow conditions as well as general knowledge.  Ray attends the Colorado races as well as many of the Western Marathons.  Ray is a huge asset to the Toko Tech Team.

Matt Grover:

Hometown:  Boise , ID (ROCKIES)

On TTT Since: 1999

Matt spends most of his skiing time in McCall, Sun Valley, and Boise , ID.   Matt is one of the top racers in the state.  We consider Matt to be the foremost expert on waxing for events in the state of Idaho, especially as he regularly races all of the regional events.

Barry Makarewicz:

Hometown:  Salt Lake City , UT (ROCKIES)

On TTT Since: 1999

Other sports:  Cycling

Barry “The Lung” Makarewicz is a superb waxer.  He has received extensive service training in the US and Switzerland .  He has provided service at National events as part of the Toko team.  Barry coaches junior and masters programs for the local club (Tuna) and coordinates grooming at a local ski track.  He was a forerunner at the 2002 Olympic Games.  Barry is a high level athlete and is a multi-time US Masters Champion (2002 as well).  Barry can be found at the American Birkebeiner, the Western Marathons, Masters Nationals, and regional events.  Barry does not waste words, so we recommend listening to each and every one of them.

Paula Hudson:

Hometown:  Park City, UT (ROCKIES)

Paula used work in-house at Toko.  She can be found at events and clinics throughout Utah and the West in general.  Trust Paula for top level advice on ski service!

Nelson Oldham:

Hometown:  Carbondale , CO (ROCKIES)

On TTT Since: 1999

Other sports: Kayaking, Mt Biking

Race Service:  Provided race service as part of the Toko Service Team at the 2002 Gold Cup, 2001 US National Championships, and was part of the Toko Race Service Team at the 2002 Olympics at Soldier Hollow.  Runs Dos Gringos Restaurant in Carbondale .  He is also one of the best Whitewater Kayakers in the US .

Todd Henneman:

Hometown: Park City , UT (ROCKIES)

On TTT Since: 1999

Todd has received extensive service training in the US as well as in Switzerland .  He has provided service as part of the Toko Service Team at the 2001 US Nationals, 2002 Gold Cup, and 2002 Olympic Winter Games.  Todd attends the Western Marathon events as well as the Utah races.

Paul Clark:

Hometown: Park City , UT (ROCKIES)

Paul has worked in the ski and bike industry since he was just 13 years old and still has great passion for these outdoor sports.  Skiing started as a way to stay in shape for cycling season, but has evolved into an active season of racing and Toko Tech Team participation.  Paul will be managing the Toko race wax tips this winter with input from the Toko Tech Team, Team Rossignol, race organizers, and sponsored athletes. 

 

Shawn Scholl:

Hometown:  Kremmling, CO (ROCKIES)

Other Sports:  Rowing, Cycling

Shawn "Big Shooter" Scholl has been part of the TTT on and off (due to other commitments) for quite some time.  Recently he has been training with the US Rowing Team and is one of the top rowers in the country.  Shawn is knowledgable on ski preparation and is a top level ski racer.  Get to know "Shooter", he'll get you up to speed and you'll leave with a grin on your face!

John Harkin:

Hometown: Bozeman, MT (ROCKIES)

On TTT since: 2002

John is super experienced having had done wax service for Olympic teams and at World Cup events.  He's a great asset to the Bozeman, MT area and to the Toko Tech Team.

Erik Hvoslef:

Hometown: Salida, CO (ROCKIES)

On TTT since: 1999

Erik covers Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming and is a regular at events and in ski shops.  Ask him a question and he'll give you a concise and accurate answer.

Rob Bradlee:

Hometown:  Reading , MA (NEW ENGLAND)

On TTT Since: 1999

Started skiing: A long, long time ago (40yrs?!)

Rob has competed in High School, College, Nationals, Masters Nationals, and World Masters.  Rob is active in many ski related clubs and organizations including Cambridge Sports Union ski club, Eastern Mass Bill Koch Ski League and has helped in the organizing of the New England Marathon series and the NE Masters championships.

Rob is an excellent clinician on ski waxing and preparation (or anything else for that matter).  He is highly intelligent and will talk your ear off if you are lucky enough.  Rob is one of the elite racers in New England and regularly combines providing service and racing on his weekends.

Jim Levins:

Hometown:  Rutland , VT (NEW ENGLAND)

On TTT Since: 2000Jim is on the NENSA Board of Directors and Co-Chair of the NENSA Bill Koch Committee.  If you are lucky enough to run into Jim Levins, stop him and get to know him.  His personality and training will show itself and you will be all the better off for having interacted with him.  Jim can be found at the Craftsbury Marathon, Eastern Cup and Bill Koch Events in New England, and is active at Mtn Top in Chittenden, VT.

Dave Boucher:

Hometown: Essex Junction, VT (NEW ENGLAND)

Dave is warm, knowledgeable, and involved.  He currently coaches a masters group in the Burlington Vermont area and is an asset to those at the NENSA cup races.

Patrick McGownd:

Hometown: Anchorage , AK (ALASKA)

On TTT Since: 2000

Patrick is an excellent technician, attends all of the regional events, and is completely accessible.  He will go out of his way to help, so use him as a resource!  Patrick is THE Alaska Toko Man.   Patrick also helps out the local clubs and donates his time and expertise to events such as the Alaska Ski for Women.

Ben Grasseschi:

Hometown:  Idaho & Montana.  Currently living in Truckee, CA (NORTHWEST)

On TTT Since:  2004

Ben has been enjoyed various types of skiing including X-C, Tele, and Back-Country since the young age of 10 when he began skiing with his parents.  Currently PSIA Level 3  Instructor as well as various Junior and Masters coaching titles.  Trust Ben for great advise on ski preparation.

Doug Karkow:

Hometown: Reno, NV (NORTHWEST)

Eric Redrup:

Eric is analytical, careful, and tests everything out for himself.  He will not give endorse a product or method without having convinced himself first-hand of its effectiveness.  He gives regular clinics, regularly makes specific recommendations for events in the Western Washington , and is a huge asset to the local ski community.

Dave Ford:

Hometown:  Winthrop, WA (NORTHWEST)

Dave has been skiing for many years and enjoys competing in a range of sports.  He can be found at local Washington events as well as most Masters events and Marathons.  Dave likes to figure things out and know why they work, not just that they work.  He is very knowledgeable and a great asset to Toko!

Teresa Redrup:

Hometown: Leavenworth, WA (NORTHWEST)

On TTT Since: 1999

Teresa represents Salomon, Atomic, and is on the Toko Tech Team.  She is helpful, available, and knows what's up.  She is a huge resource in Washington State.

Ian Harvey

 is in-house at Toko.  He has been involved in skiing  and service at the highest level for many years now (since being on the US Ski Team starting in 1985).

Ian oversees all aspects of Toko operations in the US.
